In Slovenia, a tree-labyrinth is far less known than a hedge-labyrinth – but still more known than a stone-labyrinth. After visiting possible sites and consulting with relevant experts (landscape architects and planners, botanists, gardeners etc.), the decision was reached: it will be the yew tree!
The yew tree is one of the protected tree species in Slovenia. It grows up to 20 metres high and it can reach a considerable age – the most resistant specimens grow even more than one thousand years. Are we creating a work of art that will outlive the human race?
